More before/after!

We moved in around the first week of August, and it is still total chaos around here. When I finally got a moment to sit down and post some more before and after photos, I realized that I couldn't access them. We store all of our photos on a certain computer (with a backup system in place), and we had not yet set up that computer in the house. After a week or so we got the computer moved, but it quickly died. It was pretty old. Now my husband has decided that he may not replace it. So in short, I could have gotten to the photos but it was complicated.

Imagine my surprise when I sat down to clean off the cluttered desktop of my personal laptop computer, and I opened a file folder called "untitled folder" to find all of my before and after photos! So I'm back to finish!

The back porch/screened in lanai type thing. We haven't done much here except clutter it up with tools and remnants of various projects. I took down the old fans and replaced them with new ones (not pictured), and I replaced the light fixture at the back door.

Master bedroom. Not much here except new flooring and new paint. I also got a fancy new ceiling fan, but it didn't make it into the photo.

Master bath - this is where we hired a guy who knew what to do. I painted the cabinets and installed the mirrors. The contractor wired and installed the new light fixtures over the mirrors. New countertops and sinks/fixtures.

This is the only photo from the old listing that showed the rest of the bathroom. To refresh your memory, there was carpet in all of the bathrooms. In the master bath, the old tub was gigantic and the shower was tiny and enclosed. We decided to swap their locations, which is why we had to hire someone to do the plumbing and build the new shower. He also tiled, installed the new tub, installed a new toilet, put new can lights over the shower and over the bathtub area. I have some more comparison photos that I dug up, I just have to sort through and get them ready for posting.

This is the powder room. We switched out the light fixture, replaced the sink and the toilet, and put tile on the floor.

My son's room just needed new paint. We're actually keeping the ceiling fans in the bedrooms upstairs, as they look like they are pretty new and in great condition.

Middle daughter's room only needed paint as well.

The upstairs bathroom that daughter and son share. We ripped out the carpet, ripped out the vanity, plumbed for an additional sink, replaced the vanity, put down tile, wired and installed the light fixtures over the mirrors, put in a new toilet, and replaced the fixtures on the tub.

When we finally moved in, I ran across a stack of pamphlets from when they previously listed the house (not the time that we bought it). This pamphlet had 4 or 5 pages of photos that I had never seen before. I'm going to scan them and see if they're good enough quality to post.

Since we moved in, we ordered new appliances for the kitchen and had them installed. This created a domino effect and I ended up changing out the cabinet hardware. (This is cabinet hardware set #3, if you're keeping track.) I'll have to show you those pics in another post soon.
