Finished a room!
It's the smallest room in the whole house, but we finished a room!
We already had the pedestal sink, so we went to Home Depot and picked up 3 toilets.
Our first attempt at installation was a failure. Got it all installed and flushed it. Water gushed out the bottom. We quickly decided that the wax ring included in the toilet box isn't quite tall enough. Our old toilets were installed straight to the slab (which is incorrect), so with a layer of tile in between now it didn't fit just right. Off to Home Depot (we made 4 trips that day) to purchase a taller wax ring.
Next up was the puzzle of installing the new faucet into the top of the pedestal sink. My husband refuses to read any directions, so there were some do-overs.

Yay! We got it installed. Turned on the water and oh no. Water gushing out the bottom (again). Another trip to Home Depot. Our new sink is taller than the old one, so an extension pipe was needed to get it to fit. A few adjustments (and about 8 hrs) later and it was leak free! We have a working half bath!
Finished product! (Yes, I know it still needs quarter round. And some caulk. Let's not talk about that, I'm busy celebrating completion of a room, y'all!)
