The big excitement
It's been 3 days since we started on the Great Urban Farmhouse Project. I'm exhausted. Everything hurts. I'm ready to hire somebody to come finish all this stuff for me. I know you were all taking bets on how long I'd last. Who had 3 days?
The first 2 days I spent priming the wood paneling that's on the ceiling in the family room. Not very exciting, but a LOT of work.

Anyone know a good chiropractor? I'm sure my neck will never be the same.
The real excitement started today. My husband finally made it over to the UF and he had to follow my new rule - if you go the house, you have to do something. So he decided to help me tear down that fluorescent light box on the kitchen ceiling. Let me refresh your memory.
Yeah, ew.
Since we were watching Talladega Nights while working, I'll say we made that light box our bitch.
There must have been a million screws in that thing. This is just a small sampling of them
The somewhat finished product. We've got to get an electrician over to put in different lighting and then figure out how to patch that big hole.
Also, when I was cleaning up I was finally able to remove the dead scorpion carcasses from the house.
Yeah, ew. Welcome to Texas, y'all.
My Hubby says we were painting before you started blogging...but I am seriously tempted to blame his renovation bug on YOU. Gotta run... just home from Sherwin Williams with a couple of gallons of new paint. I thought we were only doing the floors... turns out we are doing ceilings and floors, too! YAY!!!
