This is how it goes
This week I spent Wednesday painting the trim in the office. In true fashion, this is how almost everything on my to-do list goes.
Decide to paint.
Open up paint and pour it out into the tray.
Walk into room.
Decide to pull up the carpet so I can get the bottom of the baseboard.
Start to rip up carpet.
There's a z-bar at the 2 places it transitions to tile.
Go hunt down the crow bar.
Remove the z-bar.
This is really hard (swear to never put down another z-bar).
Rip up the carpet and roll it up.
This is really hard, why didn't I cut it up in pieces?
Start to drag the gigantic piece of carpet out of the room and it keeps getting caught on the tack boards.
Finally get the carpet into the garage.
Decide to remove all of the junk that's accumulated in the kitchen floor.
Walk around the house trying to locate all stray tools.
Put all the tools in the sun room in an organized arrangement.
Now what was I doing?
Oh yeah, back into the office to paint.
Check the paint to see if it dried in the tray.
Time elapsed: 1 hour
On the drive home, I remembered that I hadn't put the top back on the trim paint.
So here's Thursday summed up in 2 pictures.
Before
After
I don't think I removed even a measurable fraction of a tile. I'm thinking either a jackhammer or dynamite.
