RIP bathroom vanity: part 2
Vanity removal was such a traumatic experience that I took some more photos to share. It's for my own therapy.
Tools used: drill, gigantic drill bit, hammer, mini sledgehammer, 2 crescent wrenches, assorted screwdrivers, and a crowbar. If we hadn't gotten it out when we did, a stick of dynamite was next on the list.

Somebody left a love note on the back of the vanity. It says "Ewalds own home" "Hall bath." Your guess is as good as mine. I think that the Ewalds were the people who originally built this house. County records don't go back that far, so I cannot confirm.

Here's the growing pile of debris inside the garage. That's mostly the master bath shower and a little bit of fireplace. Have I mentioned that it's really nice that we don't have a HOA? I'm pretty sure we would already have violated all sections of the owners' manual if this house were in our current neighborhood.

Was at the UF earlier today to confirm that the plumbing that my husband did is still intact and the house is decidedly NOT flooded. Please ignore all the drill holes in the dry wall. Nobody will see that, y'all.

The new arrival for today was the new vanity! It's 6 feet long, heavy, and came with its own pallet. We have NO idea how we're going to get it up the stairs!

Please give advance notice before the post where dynamite is actually used! I want to be adequately prepared with a cocktail and snacks!!!
